My brother is buying a new car soon and he is deciding on getting a 2005 STl or the 2003 Evo VIIl and he plans to do small modifications (Exhaust, Wheels, etc) but he is skeptical on getting either one because he is afraid that the cars might draw too much attention and he will constantly have cops tailing him wherever he goes and he is still kind of young..21.

Yes, I'd consider any sports car a cop magnet. Does not matter if you are an old man in a Corvette or a 16 year old with a modified Honda CRX, if it looks fast it will be looked at as fast, not like a law abidding citizen on the way home from getting groceries.

Evo is and STIs would probably get a bit less attention than 2 door cars but still more than your average Toyota Corolla.

probaby the 05 STI. It has a hella big spoiler and just looking at it make is it look like its fast. Anytime l look at any STI, the word ''Beast'' comes to my head. The Evo sort of has that street look that anyone would like. They're both good, but l like the STI, even though it looks like it would attract more men in blue.

NO vehicle is a ''Cop Magnet''.

Drivers are.

Especially young drivers in powerful cars!

Lethal combination.

Both are as bad as each other. l have a subaru legacy 94 and it is a cop magnet but then again dads 08 falcon is a cop magnet is as well so you cant win.

l agree with the driver attracting the cops, not the car. If you think about it, so what if your car catches a cops eye? If you're not breaking any laws, you have nothing to worry about. l do not see what your concern is?

heck no! Where l live (central cali Bakersfield,ca) its not the driver thats the magnet its the car, three weeks ago l got pulled over by a highway patrolman that was going in the opposite direction at night! He flipped around fishtailing his car just to pull me over for some BS! Front license plate & mod exhaust said it was over 95db he did not even hear it l was cruising in 5th gear super quiet, but u cant argue with them two weeks before that l got pulled over for not having rear plate lights come on u could see it anyways this CHP popped my hood even told me to pop my trunk & he ripped out my carpet & spare tire & they wonder why some people hate cops that was not nessacery, so l gues it depends where u live. l drive a 2004 subaru WRX
