It is going to be tough getting what it is worth. For a standard 2008 Impreza you are probably looking at 15-16k for it.

I'd give it back to the parents letting them know that while you appreciate the thought you can not afford the monthly payment.

l reckon go trade it in for something you can afford, like a Suzuki Swift or a Mazda 2.

FIrst u have to let us know what trim level & options it has. The miles r also important. Was it purchased or leased? If it is leased u could take a big hit if u try to sell it. If it was purchased maybe u could refinace it for a longer period to get ur payments down.

Talk to ur parents & let them know ur issue maybe they can help u out.

Look at the edmunds car site & get the value for ur car. You will always get more if u sell it on ur own but it takes more work & time.

You would need to sell yours for less than a dealer can possibly sell a new one for (probably about $15500). If you have a different model, you should adjust the price accordingly.
