What do you guys think about the wrx STi, minus the 2008 model b/c l hate the way it looks. Are these cars reliable? how much does maintenance cost? Mpg? hp? handling? interior? comfort ability? give all opinions on the car also. Thanks to all who answer!!

The 08 is r far superior to the previous models so be closed minded about the looks but you're missing out. Reliability of the Subaru motors r excellent & they r not any more to maintain then any other car. Ride is a little harsh for long trips but it depends on what you're used to. The new models have a much upgraded suspension so handling is better. Dual AVCS on the motor allows for much more torque sooner with tuning. Subaru has taken a step forward & it is a shame people r afraid to & just jump on the band wagon of haters without even driving the car first.

l think it is great, so are all the other Subarus. l know the styling is controversial, but l like it, and like the above answerer said, if you're closed minded about the styling, you miss out on a great car. l love the flared wheel arches and the menacing presence of the car. It looks like it should have rocket boosters and machine guns on it :-). It just screams ''POOOOOWWWWEEERRRRR! like Jeremy Clarkson.

Subaru is third most reliable brand.

Honda is number 1.
Toyota is 2nd.

It is a street legal rally car so it feels like a race car.
Not that comfortable, but mre comfortable than the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo.
HP is 300HP for 2004-2007
Maintenance is not that expensive, but insurance is very expensive.
Handling is better than some super cars like Porsche & Lamborghini & Ferrari.
It has AWD & great weight distribution & light weight for great handling & speed.
0-60mph in 4.8 seconds.
Top Speed is limited to 155mph.
l like the interior very much.

On a race track, this car can beat a BMW M3, Porsche 911 or Cayman, Nissan 350z, Chevy Corvette, Dodge Viper, & more.

The power did not realy improve since the 2007 (305hp/290lb-ft & 6600 redline vs. 300hp/300lb-ft & 7000 redline in 2007), mileage is mostly the same, but the 08 is slightly more upscale & comfortable. Overall they're reliable depending on how hard u trash it, mileage is decent but bad for an 'average' sedan as AWD & 300hp tends to kill things, handling is great.

On the Nurburgring, the stock STi (not spec C) loses to all of these except the 350Z.
