Hi, on my 99 impreza RS BOTH high and low press hoses out of the compressor are EXTREMELY hot. The a/c would blow cold when the a/c is first turned on. moments later it would blow warm air. The compressor would click on and off intermittently on for 1 sec, off for 1 sec, on, off, on, off rapidly. Something is obviously wrong. l have no leaks and the r134a pressure is good. What is going on here? Thanks in advance.

when you have those symptoms with your auto ac it means the freon is low. add some more to it.

Try to bring it to local gas station and filled back the freon (R134, l think), it may cost you around 50 bucks and half hour.

However, if you still not sure and do not want the gas station mech touches your subby, bring it to dealer. l would suspect that as low freon. And may be the internal parts of your compressor has problem (so far usually is just the R134 not enough).
