l live in California and here in the states we didnt get the sti till 2004. However in Japan they had a 2.0L wrx sti.....now l am trying to figure out how to purchase this 2002 wrx sti transmission. As all of you Subaru guys know, the wrx transmission here in the states is pretty weak. Where can l buy or find a 2.0L Subaru sti transmission from? have any of you guys ever heard of people doing this?

It can be done but you will have to buy the rear end and all the axles as well. Then you need a controller for the DCCD. You could try places like Gruppe-s.com to see of they have any or if they can get you one. Why not look for the drive train out of a wrecked us STI? probably be cheaper. You could also check out PPG gears for your tranny. Bullet proof gears with the better acceleration of the 5 speed. And by the way, they have has ST l is since around 94.
