I am thinking of getting a Sabaru but i've heard alot of my friends say that they break down alot and need to be repaired.


IS THIS TRUE???

My mom and grandparents have one. There cars have never broken down. When my mom hits her brakes on her Subaru it makes a screeching sound.

How many of them have owned a Subaru? l am guessing none & they r trying to talk u into something they do drive. l am on mu third Subaru. All heavily modified & never once took one on for service. Nothing. l have never had a car like that. Most of the people l know r Subaru drivers & they will tell u the same thing. They r mechanical & made by humans so things will break but they r every bit as reliable if not more than Toyota or Honda. And if ur friends r trying to talk u into something like a Chevy Cavalier of a Ford mustang, kick them in the balls because they r not true friends.

Suburu is r the world is second most reliable car { honda being the first}
People claim to easily put 250K to 300K miles on an engine with no problem.
Simply look in ur local classifieds, & see the cost of a used suburu, with 185K miles, Still expensive right?
Thats because the 2.5 liter SUB engine, is almost cult like.
All of it is owners, tend to swear by this fact.
Now on that same token, look at a chevy or pontiac, with the same 185K miles,
What do u notice?

One is still got TONS O Life left in it,.and the other, Ready for the scrap yard. {the chevy will generally sell for 500-600} dollars}

How many of your friends actually own Subarus? Subarus are among the most reliable cars, right with Toyota and Honda.

They only break if the driver does not maintain the car, does abusive things like high RPM AWD launches, or does stupid things like replace the tires with non matching sizes

Subaru is are just as reliable as a Honda or Toyota. We have three Subaru is in our family and they are all amazing cars. You will not be disappointed!

You must be mistaking Subaru for Ford (Fixed or Repaired Daily, or Found on Road Dead). l used to own a Ford & that piece of crap was in the shop about twice a month (minimum $200 repair). Since then, my boyfriend got me a used subarus - 1992 loyale wagon. It looked like crap & the exhaust was loud, but it was incredibly reliable & low cost to run. Now l have a newer Subaru & l absolutley love it. I've been driving it for 2 years & besides today l have never had a problem. The only things I've had to do r standard maintence like brakes, tires, oil change, tune up. Excellent choice for a car!
