How do l go about cleaning it? Can l just blow it off with the air compressor every so often or can l wash it? Or do l have to just buy replacements for it? Please help.

no you do not have to replace it, that filter can be washed over and over again the easiest thing to do would be to buy the k&n filter re-charge kit about 12 bucks give or take at the auto parts store and just follow the directins on the box,or you can use a LITTLE bit of soap and water and spray the rinse water from the inside out and let it completely dry before you re i-install.

l would check with your dealer because l am pretty sure the SPT filter is a disposable, oil less filter. If you oil it, it could ruin it. Subarugenuineparts.com sells replacement filters for $40 but l do not see any cleaning kit so l am almost positive it is a disposable filter. You can just take it off and tap the dirt out of it for a while but at some point it should be changed.Does it not say anything about it in the instructions?

l also have the SPT intake on my 07, and the blue/ grey filter it comes with is NOT reusable, and is meant to be changed every 30K miles just like the stock panel filter. K&N does make a replacement, but the exact part number l had to get by giving them specs on the old filter.
