Ok so im sorry if this is long winded but l am a new owner of a 2006 Subaru Impreza (hatchback).

Here are where the problems come in, he did not maintain the car at all, there are dents in more door panels, and scratches on the front/rear bumper. He made a comment that sounded like ''Subaru makes all the panels one piece so the entire door needs replacing'' <- Is that true???

The engine rattles A LOT!!! He did not do any oil changes and l think he shifted with the 1,2,3,D so if l need a new trans will l get one (since there is obvious neglect to the car on his part)?

l love to mod cars, its what l wanna do later in life as a career, this is a LEASE so l dont know what l can or cannot touch, please tell me if something on this list cannot be done due to a lease/ warantee:

Window Tints (why bother if they replace door?)
New Deck / speakers/Subwoofers
Neon Underglow
K&N Intake
Exhaust (cut stock muffler and replace)
Rims

B4 l turn it in will return all to stock, have for 2 more yrs

Very common problem with people neglecting our beautiful cars.


l would say go to the dealer FIRST , and get your tranny mess fixed, and ask them for a full detail.


As far as mods go, there isnt much you can do it a impreza, but your defintely on the right track. Good Luck

The engine is rattling because it is a Subaru Boxer horizontally opposed engine. Watch it rock, learn to love it. It is normal.
