Officially (and if it is still limited) 135 mph - but off the record, should be good for a bit more than that, if you can find a bit of 'road' long enough.

l got up to 141 mph in my factory 08 2.5i impreza. It took a a min. to get there and l could have gone faster but ran out of road. To add to your question i've also got 42 mpg in this same car ( before driving 141 ).

EDIT: and there is no such thing as a v4. it is just a 4 cylinder. the cylinders in 6cyl and up sit in a v shape, the ones with 4 cylinders don't.

OK, first, the STi ws not sold in the USDM until 2002.. that being said, l own an 07 WRX (rated at 224hp.. severely underestimated) wiith minimal power mods, and I've buried the speedometer (140 mph) easily, with plenty of throttle left..an STi, of the same vintage, l have to say maybe 155, with no real mods.

It is not a V4.
That last time someone made a V4 engine was probably in the 70's.

The Subaru Impreza has an H-4, also known as a flat or boxer engine. It is not shaped like a V.
The top speed is 160mph without the limiter.

v4 refers to Version 4, not the engine. l believe the V4s were available 1997/1998 followed by the beautiful V5 2 door in 1999. My favourite WRX.

Top speed depends on mods, climate (cooler = faster), location and how big your goolies are

dont really care about usdm market, the americans get a watered down version on the impreza anyway. v4 stands for the version not the engine. was available in 1997/1998 ish. top end speed is around the 155mph mark.
