how to install SPARCO Hood pins on a 2005 WRX STi???

You do not they look stupid.

Ok check it out. l did the same thing on an 05 rex (non sti) & with a carbon fiber hood. Same pins & everything. The only big thing to remeber is the pins MUST be pointing up & down. Make sure u have it where u pull the pin up towards ur windshield. If u do not then ur hood will not close & u will have to drill more holes in the hood, making it look like sh*t.

So now then if u open ur hood & look at ur front bumper, at the hood latch, notice to each side of it on the frame u will see a hole already in it. Should be like right beside the rubber hood adjuster things. All u do is use a drill & make those holes wide enough so u can screw the latch part of the pins in.

Next the drilling through the hood part. The best thing to do is start off by drilling a tiny hole in the hood from the bottom, AFTER u have the bottom pins in, that way u know it will line up. Then once u get the first hole, drill from the top & make the holes bigger as needed. Making sure they still line up as u widen the hole.
It takes some time to do, took me like 3 hours (only cause it was my first time drilling through carbon fiber) but as long as u go slow & carefull u shouldnt have any problems.
