Evo is short for Evolution. The model of which the car takes the name Evo is the one & only Lancer. The makers of the Lancers goes by the name Mitsubishi.

WRX is shrot for World Rally Cross. The model of which this car takes the name WRX is the one & only Impreza. The makers of the Impreza goes by the name of Subaru.

Evo is the better version of the Mitsubishi Lancer. Evos are often compared with WRX is so thats why you heard them together.
