why are there hardly any subarus in dubai

In Europe and the Mid east, the buyers prefer European cars. Besides, Europe is much closer, and there is less transportation cost.

The prices and dealerships in Dubai are a rarity.

Part of the answer might be that there is only one Subaru dealership in Dubai. The next closest place to buy a new Subaru is Abu Dhabi. This might lead to high prices since there is little meaningful competition among dealers for customers.

Another part might be that the Dubai Subaru dealer does not appear to offer the Legacy wagon or any turbocharged models like the Impreza WRX, ST l or Forester XT.

And, finally, Subaru has a very small market share in most areas outside of Japan. In the US, for instance, only about 1.3 percent of all new cars sold r Subarus.

Well first off, good question!

l live in Kuwait & its no different here! You hardly see Subaru is around. Its just that the Dealer here & other mid-east countries just suck big time!

The turbo charged models r rarely seen in the showrooms. And more over, having cheaper gas (petrol) & the high living standard here, people prefer to go with American or Euro cars. Other than these people, the lower mid segment market never thought about the Subaru coz the dealer just didnt wanna make any effort. The brand name here is as good as it just doesnt exist!

Thats why the rest of them who cant afford expensive cars just go for toyota's!
