l am going to college and getting a car. Would you get the impreza or legacy and why?

l think it depends on what you use the car for. If buying used they should be around the same price. A legacy will give you a little more room inside but they are the same as far as engine and drive train go. Both excellent cars. l have a WRX wagon right now and like having the cargo space.

Definatly an Impreza! They're sportier, more fuel efficient, cheaper, smaller, and l think they look cooler. If you're going to college you need a small car and something that you can afford which is what the Impreza is!

Although, for college l would recommend an econobox like the Honda Fit or Corrola, but Subaru is are great cars so l bet you'd love it!

Impreza. It is smaller and easier to park and it will fit in smaller places.
It is cheaper and gets better gas mileage.
It is more fun to drive.

Legacy has a smoother ride and is bigger.

They are both great vehicles. l would recommend them both!

Best thing you can do is look up Subaru website and decide which vehicle suits YOU and your needs better!

Knowledge is power. Do some research, then you can make an informed decision, which YOU will be happy with!

depends on which model from both sides.. the legacy 2.5 gt smokes the impreza models but is a lot more to pay for. The legacy 2.5gt would be considered the top of the line subaru model.

Depends on what u want or need. You can not beat any Subaru, IMO.

Either way, l would get the wagon version- more cargo capacity!

The Impreza is smaller, so it is more fun to drive & easier on gas. Space- leg room, especially, in the rear is not so great for adults.

Legacys r larger, so they r not quite as nimble or as good on gas. Space is a bit better for all occupants, & cargo capacity is better than the Impreza.

Also consider a Forester. They r very similar to the Impreza, but boxier (more cargo room in the back) & higher off the ground. Similar fuel economy & driving characteristics. Leather is an option, too.

l prefer the 5speed manual, as it is more fun to drive (more reliable, too) & the auto transmission is not very smooth or refined anyway.
