So l got in my car the other day and noticed that the security light in my STl was blinking.l promptly checked the manual to try to see what the problem was but was not able to get the light to quit blinking.There was no security code in the manual that told me what it meant when the light was blinking twice in rapid succession.l tried to reset the alarm following the manual is instructions but the light still keeps blinking until l turn the car on.

Now, I've also managed to turn off the light flash function when you lock the car and the parking lights blink twice.It still beeps and locks the car, but no flashing light.

Anybody know how l can fix these 2 problems?Thanks.

As for the alarm light flashing, it will do this as long is the car is off. It lets people know that the car has an alarm. As for the lights, you will have to ask the dealer or an alarm company.

Your car is in ''Valet Mode'' which means your security system is disabled. To enter or exit valet mode, keep the Unlock/Disarm button on your remote depressed for more than two seconds. This is explained in the ''Keys and Doors'' section of your Owner is Manual.
