I've just bought a scooby and its only getting 15mpg is this normal its breaking my bank and the wife says its her or scooby of course i'm keeping scooby its more fun but i'd still like to get more mpg can anyone help

They r not supposed to use that much. Even an ST l would need to be flogged to get that bad.particularly if you're talking Imperial gallons.

When u said ''so much'' l was thinking u meant something like ''why does an Impreza get under 30 mpg?''.that is just because of the AWD.

But no, there is something wrong with ur car, or something wrong with ur foot. Without more information it is hard to say which it is, & if it is the car, what exactly is wrong.

dont know, we can get 26mpg out of our 911 carerra, you should be getting at least 20mpg.
perhaps you should get itt checked out at your scooby garage?

Take it to a mechanic -- maybe the care needs a tune-up.

Also driving habits affect mileage. We have a 05 Forester and l get 2 to 3 miles more per gallon than my wife. It is just a difference in driving habits -- keeping it under 3000 rpm gives our Subaru 25-28 mpg which l do and my wife doesn't, but we are still happily married and l want to keep both of them!

Sounds like it has problems. My 2.2 gets 28 mpg. Most of the newer ones get at least 25. The all wheel drive hurts the fuel economy slightly but it should not be that bad.
