l do not know much about Subaru is l have a turbo miata. You should just google it. If ur just curious about cost try going to flyinmiata.com there experts in the field of turbo cars, If anything use the site as a point of reference. There is many things to consider from engine management, inter-coolers, & different manifolds, so u need to figure at least $5000.00 to do it right. l will tell u this l LOVE TURBOS!! l would never go back to natural inspired, l am just addicted to the acceleration rush!! FUN FUN FUN

Financially speaking, it is not worth doing, unless you're a competant mechanic and can do the job yourself.
By the time you source all the necessary turbo bits, and then upgrade the brakes, suspension etc to cope with the power increase, you will have spent more on it than if you'd traded the 2000 Sport for a WRX Turbo.
Plus you'd have 'the real deal', which would help when you resell it.

well this all depends on how much your wanting to spend on it . if you do the work your self than you could prob find a wrecked parts car off of ebay for not to bad , but if your looking to take it to a shop then your gonna be looking at 75 a hour or better

The cost to do it right would be about the same to get a WRX engine and drop it in. You'd need Turbo, headders, modified intake, computer programing, etc.

l think u would be safe to assume something on the order of 25hours of labor to do all of the electrical work (wiring harnesses etc) & mechanical work (yanking the old motor out & putting the new motor in). Multiple that by whatever ur local shop charges (around my area its $100 USD/hr) so say. $2500 for the labor.

the engine & trans l hear costs around $5000 USD,.. & then u will be buying random stuff like a new clutch & flywheel, maintenance parts such as timing belt, spark plugs etc. figure $2000 USD for all of that.

so all in, l think l would be fair to estimate $10,000 USD for a turbo conversion.

l think its easier & possibly cheaper just to trade in ur current vehicle & get whatever model u want rather than trying to convert

l was qouted £2000 last year by a used Impreza Breakers/garage that included bonnet (but not the rear barkes).it would be cheaper to buy a ins write off and convert yourself
