No. Completely different companies. Note to Juicy.Datsun and Nissan were the same company. The Datsun name was only used for cars sold in the U.S. until the 1980 is when they dropped the Datsun name completely.

Company has no relation but some of the small parts on the cars are shared. If l look under the window switches in my Subaru l find the word Nissan. There are other parts as well.

Subaru is a brand owned by fuji heavy industries. Nissan and Renault are closely tied now though. No relation.

Nope. Subaru is its own company. Toyota owns some of Subaru. Subaru also went to Porsche to ask for help in their engine designs.
Porsche and Subaru use very similar engines. They are the only companies that use the horizontally opposed engine.

Subaru is are very reliable. Maybe more reliable than Nissan.

Very different companies, although they do business with one another, for example: some electrical parts are the same, other companies are involved some steering and brakes for Subaru come from Mitsubishi, and alternators come from Toyota is Denso or Hitachi. Subaru engineers have good sense and have done good work!
On the other hand, Nissan as a company has not done so well ( management issues) Had to be bailed out by Ford and Renault.

No, they are Fuji Heavy. Formerly GM owned some shares but Toyota bought them out. GM had no idea how to use the partnership to their advantage. Toyota and Subaru can share more ideas. The Subaru US plant may share some production with Suzuki.

are you kidding???? the only relation is that they make cars and they are from Asia.

Nissan currently does not own Subaru or its parent, Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI). However, Nissan did effectively control FH l in the early 90s.

In Oct 1986, Nissan & FH l formed a business partnership & each company bought a small stake in the other. Nissan is share of FH l was about 4%. By Jul 1990, FH l was failing, so Nissan & another shareholder, Industrial Bank of Japan, which was FH l is biggest lender, forced FH l is president into a ceremonial role & installed a Nissan executive as president of FHI. This is described in a NY Times article titled ''Company Takeover - Tokyo Style'' (see link below). Things changed in the 90s - FH l improved & Nissan declined. Renault took control of Nissan & Nissan sold its stake in FH l to GM in 2000 (see link below). And that was the end of the formal relationship between Nissan & Subaru.

So u might say that Nissan once ran Subaru.

Subaru is owned by a company called Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI). They manufacture a lot of industrial hardware, such as large engines ( ship and aircraft), cranes and earth-moving equipment. The automotive division is currently part owned by Toyota and GM. Nissan is it is own company; they also make the Infiniti line of cars.
