Question about the 2005 Subaru wrx sti -?
does the sti sound hot or is it just my opinion..

1 more thing- which car or brand is more reliable

the 05 sti or 05-07 mitsubishi evo

Mitsubishi is are very unreliable and l heard their paint is not good either.

l drive a 2006 WRX STi - love it,
The Subaru is much more reliable than the Mitsubishi, check out the Consumer Reports Auto issue, it will show you the reliability of each car out their and their concerns

Evo is burn clutches all the time if u drive them hard. l know a few ppl with evos & they have fun but hate how there is a lot of maintenance involved. Plus u have to rev the hell out of an evo & make sure its spooled before u get ANY power. That is not the case at all with an sti. l had an 05 sti for four months & sold it because of money issues but l loved it. l read alot before l bought it about which was better & if u get & sti, u wont even think twice. l raced a bunch of stock evos & it was close but mine always had the edge. Plus l think looks on the exterior & interior r much better on the sti. Think about the brands, Subaru is known for reliability & Mitsubishi is known; it least in CT for making crap. Evo is r fast & have great handling out of the box but it just does not feel or look as nice as the sti.

yes, l think a WRX/STi with an unrestrictive downpipe and a nice exhaust like the prodrive sounds great!

the STi, like all other Subarus is extremely reliable if it is well maintained and not abused. unfortunately, l find that many STi drivers are abusive to their cars so good luck finding a good condition used STi

l would go with the STI. l own a 2002 WRX & l love it to death. l have had it sense it had 80k miles on it & l love to red line it all the time & now its at 114k & nothing has ever gone wrong with it & it still sounds great. the ST l itself has a $6000 transmission. l had a friend do over 400 clutch drops at 7000 RPM & we took the tranny apart & it still looked brand new. The ST l is an awesome car & it will last u a very long time. they r built for people to buy one & go rally racing no mods required.

Oh & l have driven in 2 feet of snow with my wrx & l never got stuck, l saw many trucks stuck but not me. (walmart was still open lol)
