what is the difference if a put one of these turbo kit in a subaru impreza wrx sti 2005 ( STOCK)

1) perrin kit gt3071

2) perrin kit gt3076

you think that the 3076 is to much for a stock sti? and it says that you have to buy the intercooler the fuel rails and more you have to buy that to put the turbo kit of to the limit?

The 3076 is a slightly better flowing turbo & on pump gas, it will make another 20-30 hp but with a few hundred more RPM is of lag. Your decision between the two gets difficult depending on what gas u will be using. On pump gas, the 3071 may only make a little more power than a good 20G for a lot more money. Between the 3071 & the 3076, on pump gas, l would go with the 3076 just because if u r spending the money l would want the extra power & the extra lag is minimal. Many people run the 3076 on a stock block without problem. Just ask for a conservative tune & u should be able to run low 12 is or even high 11 is if u r a good driver. l would add a few 10th is if u go with the 3071. Engine reliability on any turbo we will depend on the tune. Just make sure u r tuned by a reputable tuner & it should be fine. l will say this though. If u r in a position where if the motor blows & u can not afford to have it rebuilt, u can not afford to be modding at this level so if that is the case, a 20G with simple supporting mods will run much cheaper & be easier on the motor.

One more thing. l am not trying to be a dick cuz l like answering questions here but u have been asking about different kits for months now & l really think calling Perrin is a good idea. Geoff & the guy is there r really cool & will gladly answer anything u want to know. l live 5 minutes from their new shop & like to stop in ther to hang out & they never mind it so give tham a call.
