l saw a car that l really like. They have a 2007 Subaru WRX STl for $26900 and it has 12,808 miles. The vehicle is in perfect condition. How much do you think would be a good price after negotiation?

l do offer 20K and settle at 22K. The auto industry is hurting as you probably know, and it is the consumers turn to do the f***ing.

ur really not going to get to much further with a negotiation thats a good price on a low mileage sti,i paid just under that with 28k on mine,check the classifieds on KBB not their estimate,craigslist etc & see what private sale is going at,private sale is obviously going to be lower than dealer but will give u an idea of rock bottom

You can try offering 25,000 and see where it leads but if you look in the classifieds of Subaru forums, you will find that that is a really good price for a car with that mileage if it is in good shape. If it is being sold by a dealer, just make sure there is some kind of warranty and if it is being sold privately, make sire they have maintenance records and have it looked over by a reputable shop.

do not buy a used STi b/c it is most likely been abused by previous owner(s). 12,808 miles at that price? l think the car has something or many things wrong with it. you may see it in perfect condition but you're not the owner. if you really want to get the car, try finding flaws and use that as a negotiation leverage. $25000 max.

l would offer $23,000 and tell the owner that you need to get financing. l would then negotiate up to $24,500. You will be paying between 6 and 7% on the car loan.
