Am l able to use Ethanol E10 with my 2006 Subaru WRX (MY06)?l have searched online and found similar sites saying this:

Subaru Subaru Liberty B4 (all year models) and Impreza WRX STl (1999 and 2000) do not operate satisfactorily on E10.All others since MY1990 petrol engine Subaru vehicles will operate satisfactorily on E10.

well id try & not use any Ethanol at all but that would be pretty hard since most fuels have some in it & have for almost 20 yrs now . what u need to do is test a few types & brand of fuel to know which ur car wants not what u want to use but what gets the best mileage with what u do is first at the place u always stop now buy their highest octane & set mileage or write it down drive that tank out & then fill up with next octane u keep doing it for what ever they have one will get u a better fuel mileage & that is the one u want to use its not the cheapest price but how far u get with it.. then u go to another place that u sometimes stop at dont go out of way. & do the same thing start with best they have & work down.. only real way of knowing which fuel gets u the best mileage & thats more important that the price car will run better & use less of it which is saving u in the long run.. its like my nissan gets great mileage with shell high octane but the sam e with mobil regular each car & each drive will be different each city will be different so it depends on u & where u drive & how u drive & what u car want to run best off of not what u want to buy

Every single gas pump where l live has had 10% ethanol now for about three years or more and l have not noticed anything different except a drop in mileage. 10% wo not do any harm to your fuel system and the engine will run just fine.

The WRX is engine is a detuned version of the WRX ST l is 2.5L engine, therefore its logical to assume that quotation applies to the WRX. Subaru is turbocharged Boxers have higher compression ratios, therefore REQUIRE 91+ Octane gas to run properly. l would not use ANYTHING below 91 if l want to take care of my car. Period.
