l have a Subaru Liberty/Legacy and l wanna put in a performance exhaust and a cold air intake. What are the best brands, which ones would be best for a Subaru with the 2.2L Flat 4. Any advice would be great.

Rallitek is the only place that comes to mind for N/A tuning. l would look them up on line for contact info and talk to someone there. Especially a guy named sean. He really is passionate about cars and loves to talk to customers. Also be prepared to pay quite a bit for quality parts and not feel a huge jump in power. The power gain potential on the N/A cars are not big.

aem intake and borla exhaust is one of the best combinations ive ever used. l used this on a 95 celica gt, 97 eclipse turbo gst, and a 2000 eclipse gt. sadly l didnt use the borla on my 04 impreza sti but l do have the aem. this set up gives great power and torque and l would tell any one to use them

Any quality name -performance CA l (aem, injen) is just fine, & for exhaust borla is premier product, as is greddy if they have an installation for ur vehicle.
1)-the exhaust should be a catback installation
2)-if available the CA l installation should be done in conjunction with a throttle body spacer to complete the intake
3)-real performance gains will best be made by including performance headers in ur program. headers may provide single largest HP gain, plus torque & improved throttle response (headers to be effective require the enhanced intake & proper exhaust system u r considering).
4)to complete the program u will have to ''re-tune'' the engine is management system (advance ignition) so that the engine will make the best use its new capeabilites. this can be accomplished by way of tuner chip or performance chip if one is available for ur car, or at a performance shop with a pro-tune

none of these installations will effect overall dependability - but add far better feel to the drive & make u very much quicker from launch.
As above consider HP gains over stock of 20-25% attainable.
