head to a reputable dealer or repair technician,purchase a diagnosis,the technician will determine the ACTUAL cause of the problem and write you and estimate for repairs,you then sign the estimate,go about your way,the technician or service writer will call you and advise you when your vehicle has been repaired,return to the place of repair and pay for the repairs,drive away.

l have rebuilt hundreds of these trannys. l can not think of any sensor that would sense the converter clutch. l guess it is possible. Bottom line, you need to replace your converter.It will be cheaper to do that now, than to wait until it takes out something else in the tranny. It should cost around $550 for parts and labor.
