Yeah, l currently drive a 2008 impreza 2.5i but the car is very stiff, the cloth seats are terrible and the 0-60 time is around 9 seconds, which is horrible, on the other hand the awd is a big plus, ive been thinking about selling it and buying a vw jetta, theyre sligthly wider, and you can get a version with a sunroof and pleather seats for around 20 thousand which is how much l paid for the impreza.

impreza. preferably a wrx or sti but any is pretty nice. what years r u looking at?

imprezas r stylish, nice, reliable, just an all around great car.

jettas r ok, theyre a pretty girly car if u ask me, but that doesnt mean its a bad car. theyre still pretty reliable.

id always choose a subaru instead of a VW though.

also the insurance on a 2.5i will be cheaper than a jetta.


EDIT: u should just upgrade ur 2.5i to a WRX. it will be faster & nicer. if u get a 2002ish model theyre only around $13,000. very nice cars.

AWD>wrong wheel drive. Plus VW has terrible reliability.

Let me agree that the reliability of Subaru cars is at least 1000 times better than the reliability of Volkswagen cars

I'd keep the subaru.

l work on VW is for a living. They have more electrical problems than any other car except audi. Yea they r german engineered, but they r built in countries other than germany.


If u have a serious feeling for a Jetta, go for a Wolfsberg edition. It will cut out about half of the issues but within 3 years, l guarantee u that u will have problems.


Now, as for ur soobie, 0-60 in 9 is bad, unless u have an auto, then its understandable. Especially with the economy instead of the sport mode on.

If u want to spend it, go for a Subaru Legacy.

Subaru, because l hate repair bills!
Now maybe ur vanity is such that u do not like the interior, ride or performance. Well there r aftermarket seats, suspension parts & performance bolt on pieces that may solve that.
l have driven two almost identical Subaru cars, except one had the tire up-grade (+1). The tire with the less side wall handled better, but rode harsher. So maybe different rims would solve the ride.
l would not trade for a second reason, depreciation. For what u will loose just trading it in, u can do a lot of things to the Subaru.

Traded my VW for my WRX. Best move l ever made! VW was at the dealer too much in 30k miles. WRX has never been back to the dealer after 53k miles. Subaru - better reliability and powertrain. VW - nice interior.
