ok the question is : just an example let is say l put a gt35 turbo kit with fmic set up,magnus intake, aquamist. etc.. and it goes to 625 HP in a cosworth long block.. and l dont know if l put the same mods to a sti engine it will make the same HP or what???

The Cosworth long block has a few differences that will allow it to make more power than the stock ST l motor. For one the internals r much stronger. From the crank out to the pistons r much stronger than the ST l internals so it can handle a little more boost. That is why they cost $9000. Also the heads flow better & they have better valve train & cams so it will help it make more power. So to answer ur question, not really. You might be able to get similar power but the built block will last longer at those power levels. l personally think the 35r is too big for the stock block for this very reason. Why put a big turbo on the stock block if u r not going to get anywhere near it is potential. A 30r would be better if u have no plans for a built block. l really like the Blouch Dominator 3 for a stock motor STI. It is a ball bearing, stock location 30r basically & has excellent spool & makes a good solid 400 to the wheels on pump gas with proper supporting mods. Just know that u have to pay to play so a block build should be something u r prepared for when upgrading to any turbo really.
