l have a 1992 Legacy LS 4x4 Automatic.
The CEL is flashing code 35 which according to my manual shows a problem with the EVAP purge valve curcuit.
l have cleared the code, then after a short drive the CEL will come on again.It seems to light back up after l have turned the car off, then restarted it.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem.
Also the car runs great even with the light on, (good performance)

It is either the evap valve itself or the gas cap is not tight enough.

It is a defective purge control soleinod valve. It is located on the intake manifold, has a few vacum lines and an electrical device on it, l believe the connector is blue or brown. When you buy a new one, look under the right side of the intake and match the part with the new one to locate it, it is mounted with a 10mm bolt.
