l wnat to buy one because it will be so much cheaper l want a legacy 2.5i limited

and also what kind of degree would you need to be a car sales person?

l can not answer the demo question, but l can tell u that ''Demo'' cars r not discounted that heavily. l would rather work a deal on a new car that has not been abused by some punk salesman.

As far as the sales person requirements, there r not any ''Degree'' requirements usually. Sales experience is an obvious plus, but l can tell u that the biggest thing u need is the drive to make money. It takes a certain type of person to sweet talk an old lady into a new benzo, when she is barely getting by with her pension check. Morality is definitely not a favorable trait for car sales. You have to be able to read & manipulate people to be successful, & do it all while appearing genuine!

Yes - well here in Australia, they invariably have demos but they do not tend to discount Subaru is much. l did buy a Mitsubishi Pajero ( l think u guys call it Montero??) demo for $13,000 less than retail, but u wo not get the same in Subaru.

You will get good deals at this time of year usually if you're prepared to buy the MY07 (not MY08) model. This would be OK for the Legacy (We call Liberty) as the shape wo not change much but the Impreza is getting a total revamp.

Degrees - nup. Passing spelling tests in 5th class - well its an advantage but not necessary. Sales is a matter of drive but there is also some great 'methods' of selling that make a huge difference.

And while there r a lot of scumbag sales people out there, l think the most successful ones r those who r a bit more real. (But u still need ''flexible morals'' l reckon as in answer above :-))

Demos given to salesmen are up to the dealership!

Degree? None! Go to your local dealership and fill out an application! That all there is to it! Hope they will hire you!
