Thoughts? Who is it aimed at?

Dont like it, it has lost the appeal that the impreza is famous and well loved for. l think it is not a wise step for subaru.

Edit: l think they are trying to aim well away from the boy racers, this new shape is not really a puller l think, lol!

And the new one looks like a big step backward. Subaru claims it will be aimed at a MORE younger era of teenagers. l gotta tell you, No teen will be getting that!

It looks like the new Chrysler Sebring (which is NOT a good thing), & l think its aimed at 20 somethings who want incredible performance. l think Subaru is going for a more refined & mature look which is evident in the line-up, but they dropped the ball in regards to the Impreza. l think they want to drop the ''boy-racer'' reputation thats associated with the Impreza. The new Lancer however, is gobs more ascetically pleasing that both its predecessor, & the new Impreza. Not to mention the performance of the EVO will be insane with the DSG transmission.

When did scoobs start making kia their design aim?! Even if the car handles well, its still ugly as original sin.

l agree with Cave2 .go look at them in person and they look GREAT!. Pictures do not do the lines well. Wait till you see the STi!

The new Impreza, in my opinion is HOT. l can understand why ppl r not liking it. Unfortunately, people dont like change too much!!! it is going to be a winner!!! l have driven all the new models, including the rex, & they r hot. handling, stablility, drive.. AWESOME. until everyone does, & l mean REALLY drive them, ppl just arent gonna be fussed on it!! the rex is superior driving, absolutely Beautiful.. there is a heap of negativity towards it, cos its taken the euro look, but it is all bout style these days, & it will appeal WAY more to teens/twenties/thirties, especially women!! which, in the past was the opposite, the old impreza was bulky & looked like a station wagon. the wrx, has lost a lot of masculinity, which ppl DONT like, & l know what u all mean, it is DEF not as aggressive as the old one... but change is good, & l doubt they will go back to the original styling, so if u REALLY love them, better get ur hands on an 07 usedy pretty quick!! & look after it!!!

well the first time l saw it l didnt like it , but its grown on me the more l have looked at the pic , it reminds me of a small bmw shape with all the back end , but actually like it ..i got the 53 sti ppp & l thinking of trading her in for one , maybe in 09 , undecided yet but waiting to see what people say about them 1st & waiting to top gear to reveiw it , as if it wasnt for them where would we be ?? lol ..i think its def for the rallying scene as surly the back would come out pretty well round some of them bends , & think its just so popular car at the moment , they r cashing in ??

l have seen the versions of the hatch back and sedan. l think the hatch wins in the looks category. As a WRX it has a great stance and l have heard rumors the ST l is going to be based on the hatch back version

l like it and its still aimed at rally racers and races like time attack and also street racers

Personally l like more the 2004 shape than this years model thou it still kicks under the hood or even better upgrades have been put on it such as in the suspension and brake system.
It is still aimed at the same type of people i.e. racers and youngsters

well as fan of suburu cars., l think its not the right design for the wrx impreza. racing cars looks better in sedan than volkswagons.
