I am thinking about getting an 02-04 Subaru WRX before winter hits. But l may not be able to because of the cost. Would anyone recommend the Impreza RS instead?

l have been thinking same thing. l am going with the rs, basically same car. Initial cost is one reason, sec. insurance will be far cheaper for the rs. third. l can add the styling and ground affect is so it look is very much the same.

wrx is turbo standard....rs is great car but without turbo...both are great.

depends on what you are doing with your car they are both awsome cars the main difference is that the WRX has a turbo, but also something that most ppl do not consider is that the all wheel drive is on the WRX is ''smart'' meaning that when 1 wheel slips the computer well transfer the power to the wheels with most grip. the WRX is a much more well rounded car l would suggest to spend alil extra now and you will not be disappointed in the end.

I've owned both and loved both. The only thing you will have to decide is if you will want to mod the car in the future. If you decide to mod it, go with a wrx. You can do small mods for big gains, and have unlimited possibilities. The RS you can only do cosmetic and smaller, limited low gain mods.

If you can find a GC8 body style RS(98-01), get it and swap an ST l motor in it!
