l have a 2004 Subaru Impreza RS. l spent a lot of money making it look fast, now its time to get to business...but l have no idea where to start. l look on ebay for the typical stuff CAI, Exhaust...but all the parts l see are for a WRX, STI...and so on. Does anybody know whether these will fit my RS, or if there is a special site l can buy parts from?

Google parts for the subaru impreza 2.5. You wo not find as many as u will for the WRX or STi. You need to first find out where u want to go. If u want to turbo the motor, do not worry about intake & exhaust, because u do not use headers, u use a turbo manifold.the intake is different, etc. Make a list of what u want to do (turbo, suspension, engine work, etc) & find an enthusiast site. Go on there & research everything having to do with what u want to do, then relook at what ur plans are. If u r still leaning towards whatever that is, dive in. (once u have a good knowledge of what u need, what to do, etc.)

Hey there friend. Nice car!! Well, those parts unfortunately wont fit you're car. If its the way they r bent or just the way they fit, there is a great chance they just wont fit. Try this nopi.com & go to the top left of the screen & find the link, click it & then put in ur make & model along with the year, & tons of parts pop up from companies all over the world. Also try a local tuner shop, they will have all the goods for ur sweet ride. Hope this was somewhat helpful my friend. Thanks a ton!!

If you wanted to go fast, you should have thought about that before you bought an RS. The ONLY way you can make the EXACT car you have now fast, is to do a full motor/tranny swap. Or trade the car in for a wrx or sti. Intake, plug wires, exhaust, header, grounding kit, pulleys, and suspension are pretty much the only thing you can do to your car the way it is, and you might get 20hp out of all of that. l traded my RS for a WRX when looks just werent enough.

u can go to nasioc.com & check out the 2.5rs forum & see what they say, those guys r pretty smart, l would start with the suspension, there is alot of handling in those cars that can be unleashed, with the right susp. mods it can handle alot better than an sti, & therefore be faster on a curvy road or a track, & after it handles good, then give it some hp to match, they make some good ecu upgrades, & obviously exaust, & lightweight pullys & flywheel will help free up some rotating mass.

boxer4racing.com offers some basic bolt-ons (header, test pipe, catback and Cai) but in reality your not really going to get that far in terms of power unless your plannng on doing some internal work (cams, heads) or taking the forced induction route (turbo/supercharger). Your looking at spending thousands to get anywhere near the power level of an wrx or an sti.

As others have stated the RS does make it more challenging, however you still can put it on the bottle, or turbo/super charge it. Yes, it will require modification, but it can be done. If you are not afraid of spending $$ you can do it.

l recommend making the car fast in the corners by purchasing summer performance tires like Bridgestone RE-01R or Falken Azenis sport RT-615, and going to track schools and lapping lapping days to practice driving.

It will be very expensive to make your car fast in a straight line. l have a WRX and l do not bother to modify the engine. It is silly to modify a car when a faster version is available from the factory.
