l wanna put a turbo on my '99 Subaru Impreza GX, but l have no idea where to start in regards to what parts l would need to buy.

l am in Australia, so If you could tell me where l could buy/import the parts as well, l would be extremly greatfull.

There r a lot of engine modifications that usually need to be done to ensure ur engine will be able to handle the added power of a turbocharger. Your best bet is to go to ur local car performance shop & ask them. But if there r not any around, my suggestion would be to look into getting an entire Turbo Kit. These kits usually include everything u need to run a turbo except for an exhuast system. good luck. PS. another suggestion would to swap ur engine with a Subaru WRX STi engine. Your impreza l believe weighs less that the STi, so that engine in ur car would make it even quicker than the WRX. And it seems like a big job, but cost-wise it would not be too much more than an entire turbo kit.

well an impreza motor is an ej18 or an ej25 l think the cheapest thing to do is get a wrx motor or an sti motor (ej25t) and tranny and the great thing about subarus are that the motors are interchangeable and any ej motor will mount into an ej chassis wich an impreza is. go to forums.nasioc.com they are a very helpful and large Subaru forum and is based in all countries soo u shud have no problem finding local parts or good importers
