l want my car to sound performance like. Someone told me that changing the exhaust tips would do that for me.

Can someone tell me a exhaust tip that would work for my Subaru Impreza RS 2000.l have also seen bolt on tips which means l could do it??? Do the bolt do as good of a job as welding? l am also looking for a non expensive way to do this. (If there is a way)

tips will do nothing for sound or performance. At the very least u need to buy a performance muffler. At most, buy a whole cat-back exhuast system. Most performance exhuast companies mainly sell cat back systems but l believe most of them also sell just the muffler.
Specifically for the 00 RS, which l owned for 4 years up until 2 weeks ago, l like the Greddy Evo2 sysem, but others seem to think it is just too damn loud, haha. If u want a set up that has just as much performance as any of the others with a nice sporty sound but not overly loud so the neighbors can hear u coming 10 miles away, check out Stromung. They either deal only with Subaru or at least specialize in them. The Stromung SS catback system is great!
