The original covers, not the headlight assembly is the only part that is marginal. Can l just get the lense covers without the entire assembly

By marginal, if u mean ''foggy'' looking here is a neat (and inexpensive) trick l picked up. Wet sand the headlights with 280 grit sandpaper. Wipe them off with a wet rag. Repeat with 1,000 grit sandpaper. Clean & DRY them again. Protecting surrounding areas of car with whatever u have available, tape & newspaper for example. Lightly spray several layers of clear coats (allow to dry between coats) of clear coat finish (.99 WalMart). They will look almost brand new for about one year.

You say the lense covers are marginal.
Are they they scratched up cracked or otherwise damaged?
If not and the problem is ONLY a build up of oxidation, white, yellow or brown.

They do not sell the lens seperate from the entire light assembly. Knowing Subaru, the entire assembly will probably run you around $250. l know the fog lights are $150.
