l have been offered a 1991 subaru justyit hasnt been used for a few years to be honest l dont know a thing about these cars. any advise do l take it or do l leave it where it is ??

If you like the car and have some money to spend then go for it. they are rather strong cars.

You didnt say if your were buying it or it was free.
Justy is with manual transmissions run great and should get about 35mpg.
If you get with one an automatic (ecvt) then change or have the trans fluid changed often (every other oil change). The trans works like a ten speed bike, but with bands, and dirt is it is enemy. And do the same with the engine, think about changing the oil every 2mths or 2000 miles, the bearings like fresh oil. Oil and trans fluid is cheap!

The thing with the Justy is the body and undercarriage are they in good shape? Next is the suspension, especially the front Is it sturdy? Is it manual or automatic? If these check out then take it and get all the fluids changed (brake, coolant, transmission and oil). They are solid cars if there is no rust in or under them.

l had an 88 justy 5 speed with shift on the fly 4wd that l put over 300000 miles on. never had a problem. as has been said change the fluids.
