I am 23 and a big fan of Subaru, especially the Subaru Outback sport utility wagon which l was able to bought last summer (a 99 limited model that is). l heard recently that Subaru was redesigning their Impreza and doing away with their mini wagons, so l had to check out their website. They indeed are redesigning their Impreza and doing away with their mini wagons, in place for a hatchback model, they also are doing away with the Legacy wagons and the Outback sudans and sport wagons. Now except for the new hatchback impreza models which will never be able to fully replace the mini wagon model which has become a staple for Subaru, l believe they're moving down the right path. So what do you think of the new 2008 Subarus and l have not heard but does anybody know are they continuing theForesters?

l am excited for the new Outlook. It has pretty good gas mileage for a small SUV and seats up to 8- good for me.

l like the new Impreza for the most part. More space, more refinement & less weight should work in its favour. l am still not entirely hooked on the styling, although it looks incredibly better with a black mesh grill than with the stock egg-crate design.

The Forester is continuing as-is for 2008 but will be receiving a redesign in 2009. The current model was introduced in 2003. l think the current Forester is well-liked in general & does not necessarily need curvy or ''trendy'' styling, but l think a lot of owners would appreciate more rear-seat room.

I've heard many people lamenting the loss of the Legacy wagon in the US, but it is not being discontinued in Canada. The Legacy & Outback received a mid-life facelift for 2008 (which does not do much for me as l already liked the styling) & will likely be redesigned in 2010. l test-drove a 2007 Legacy recently, & what struck me the most was the top-notch steering--well-weighted & very precise.
