l want a standard Outback but there are no reviews on the '08 'cause it is so new. Do you know the changes that were made? Is the new model better or not? Of course the price went up. Any help is appreciated.

Nothing major was changed between the 07 & 08 models, but a bunch of small upgrades make it a better car.

-Revised styling (lights, grill & fenders)
-Upgraded 2.5 L base engine on 2.5i (better mid-range torque & emissions)
-Improved 5-speed automatic on 2.5XT & 3.0R (faster shifts)
-Introduction of the SI-DRIVE engine management system on 2.5XT & 3.0R (introduced on the Legacy 2.5GT Spec B last year)
-Upgraded interior (steering wheel, fabric & dashboard revisions)
