Knock sensor can be anywhere on an engine as it ''listens'' for knocking the sound of which will conduct throughout the engine block. l recommend stopping by the dealer and asking the parts guy for a look at the exploded view of the engine which should show the location. You can then look at the engine to determine whether you want to change it yourself.

Located underneath the intake manifold bolted to the top of the block. It is a pain to replace as the easiest way to replace it is to remove the intake manifold.

On ur car this is located on the rear of the engine, under the throttle body & towards the left (driver is side, pretty much under where the throttle cable hooks on). It is black, round in shape. Just take the plastic air intake stuff off the throttle body to access, DO NOT remove the intake manifold (totally unnecessary, trust me, I've done a few). Use a 12mm socket with swivel to remove. It is important not to over tighten these, as they can crack. Clean mounting surface well & torque to around 15-17 ft lbs. Do not worry, these r easy to do. Good luck!
