l know they are quick, especially with a good launch, but they are usually beaten after they reach higher speeds. Anyone who has one can you explain to me why this is?

The boost control in the Subaru are set to acceleration rather than top speed, considering this is an all wheel drive and a rally car. l am pretty sure it is cause acceleration and four wheel drive is more effiecient for a rally car, do not you think so?

The ST l has a 2.5 liter engine bigger engines produce a lot of torque and power at low end but at high RPMs they are not good. The Evo on the other hand has a 2.0 engine is a lot smaller ,smaller engines produce more power at high rpms.

Personally, my thoughts r that it is the shape of the car that is holding it back. l do not know what it is cd rating is, but it looks like it would not be as good as a C5 or C6 Corvette's. Similar to the difference between a Maserati Biturbo & a Ferrari 308. The twin turbo 2.5L V6 of the blunt shaped Maserati will push it to 100mph sooner than the the 3.0L V8 of the Ferrari. However, after about 100mph, the sleek shape of the 308 allows it to accelerate better than the Maserati.
