The code that keeps showing up is for bank 1 sensor 2, which is the oxygen sensor located in front of the Cat. l replaced the sensor first with a universal bosch sensor and the light still came up, then l put an OEM bosch in thinking faulty/weak connection from the universal and the check engine light still comes back after l erase it and drive around for a bit. Comes back almost instantly. Anyone have any ideas?
Okay so after reading some of the responses l used the multi tester on the engine side of the Oxygen sensor plug. It has two positives and one negative connection. l tested both positives to the negative and found that one of the positives had no pulse. The other read 10 ohms. This is with the cars ignition on engine off. Im not sure but im thinking this is where the problem lies. Anyone know if this could be the problem?

Obviously you can not have poblems with all sensors, l think what your sensors think it is true.

it cost 70 bucks to have a shop hook up the computer to scan and reset that light or find out whats wrong, Before you do anything like that take the plug off your O2 sensor and put a multi tester in the plug, one hole at a time to see if there is a short.

You've just confirmed that many O2 sensor error code indications simply mean ur engine has a performance problem that unbalances ur air/fuel mixture ratio & makes it too rich or lean. The O2 error code does not mean u necessarily have a bad O2 sensor. The trained technician knows to test the O2 sensor & to diagnose engine misfires & related that cause an O2 sensor error indication. Professional auto technicians do not replace parts simply because they get an error code related to a particular sensor. However, if an O2 sensor error code indicates that the sensor is heater element is burned out, & the technician tests it & finds a burned out heater element, then he replaces the sensor. He also has test equipment for much more detailed tests to determine if the O2 sensor does not meet the manufacturer is specifications.
