It seems that no companies manufacture any cold air intakes for my car.I've looked on ebay and googled it.All the intake kits l can find are for the GT model.The only difference between the 2.5i (mine) and the GT is that the GT is turbocharged and is DOHC instead of SOHC.

l do not wanna rice out my car, l just wanna give it a little more power and increase the MPH a little bit.I've already put in a direct replacement K&N filter, but l know that a cone filter would allow much more airflow than the panel filter.So, here is my question:

Where can l find a cold air intake for my car?One of my friends said that some place (Schucks or Napa, l think) will custom make you one if you provide them with the needed measurements of pipe.Does anyone know anything about this, or maybe know of somewhere else l can get a hold of one?Or of someway that l can rig up a cone filter in the stock air box, some how?

Hi Michael. For a Subaru, l would not recommend installing a cold air intake unless you are planned to have the car fuel map custom tuned. Aftermarket intake would cause Subaru is air sensor to miscalculate and inject incorrect amount of fuel to your combustion chamber. Also, the RPM at idle may become unstable. The result is the car running rich and zero performance gain. Your MPG will be worse and you may find some black residual on your exhaust pipe later.
