l noticed the Camry has 268HP, while the Legacy GT has 243. l know the Legacy has AWD, but can a Camry beat a Legacy GT performance wise? And which do u think is better?

The Legacy GT spec B is deffintly much faster. And if you are trying to decide which car you would buy l would deffinitly say Legacy, mainly because of its AWD, it is also slightly smaller then the Camry which personally l like.

Here r the fastest 0-60 mph times I've found for either car:

Camry
6.1 seconds (speedshift)
6.8 seconds (automatic)

Legacy GT
5.7 seconds (manual)
6.5 seconds (automatic)

The two r very close in straight-line performance, & there is some overlap in their numbers. However, on slippery surfaces, the Legacy would widen the lead because of its AWD. In terms of handling & overall performance, l would also give the edge to the Legacy, which is quite agile & has significantly smaller exterior dimensions than the Camry.

Do not under estimate the ''AWD'' factor. i.e. the Subaru will put all it is ponies to work while the Toyota has half the wheels doing same.

That makes for some of the reason the Subaru will leave on a FWD Camry. particularly in adverse road conditions.

Legacy GT better handling and better torque.

The Legacy will be a better performer, not just in straight-line acceleration, but also on curvy roads and adverse conditions. Plus, if you notice Camry drivers are typically women in their 50 is wearing a lace-collared dress. Boooooooring!

That is an interesting question, but nobody races Camry's.
l do not see Legacy is being raced either, buuuut if u WERE to, I'd give it to the legacy most anyday, & here is the reason:
until recently, subaru (and mitsubishi) have not used limiters on their manual transmission, turbo engines, which means u can dump the clutch at whatever RPM u want (except past redline), meaning u get a hell of a launch. (bad for ur transmission, however). Most places will list a 0-60 time that is conservative. Few magazines (car & driver used to) will take a turbo car as fast as it can, however. For instance, there is about a second difference 0-60 in my wrx with a launch from 4k rpm & 6k, because at 6, the turbo is spooling a lot faster, giving u more power.
Not all speed is measured by horsepower. Speed is torque, & weight-to-power ratio too.
My 300+ hp wrx, weighing in at about 3600 lbs will dust off 345 hp. dodge hemi is weighing about 3900 lbs. Gearing ratio has a lot to do with it as well, but most of me does not want to admit that. Take the subie anyday.
