l just recently bought a 2007 wrx...i do not know much about it and l wanna know what are some aftermarket parts that wo not void the warranty?...i have the regular warranty with 3 years on it, not the bumper to bumper...please let me know !!!

Add exhaus components like larger up and downpipes and cat & other exhaust piping. Turbo cars react well when you increase the exhaust diameter.

raising the boost pressure is good enough.. try to get your hands on ECUTEK computers for wrx.. much-much better

front mount intercooler upgrade is not too good..if your running on a stock i.h.i turbos.. (slightly turbo lag)

Subaru of America is VERY picky about mods. With that being said they can not legally void ur warranty unless the mod u do specifically causes a failure. If u put an exhaust on they can not void the warranty of the windshield wipers, but they sure can void the warranty on the motor & tranny if they feel like it(look up the Magnuson-Moss Warrant Act). I'd check with ur dealer first, some r complete arses, like Stevens Creek Subaru by me, & some r very mod friendly, like Subaru of Santa Cruz, it all depends on how they run their business. The easiest mod to do is an Accessport, which is an ECU remap(Ecutek does not support 07s as a previous poster mentioned). With only an accessport u will notice a much smoother power & some of the flat spots r cleaned up a lot giving u a strong linear power band. The dyno here is for an 06 http://cobbtuning.com/products/?id=2304 which is the same as the 07. You will notice peak HP is not significantly increased, but there r substantial gains in some places of the power band. The other bonus of an accessport is it is easily removed & the dealer can never tell it was there(simply plug it in to the odb2 port, flash the stock map, then select unmarry & in less than 10 minutes you're bone stock again).

Getting a turbo back exhaust is by far the best bang for the buck with a scoobie, a turbo back & an ECU remap, also referred to as stage 2 by many vendors, is where the boxer really comes alive. Take a peek at the dyno here http://cobbtuning.com/products/?id=2315 You will see the turbo comes on MUCH sooner & carries it out for some mean increases. l was amazed when l did a turbo back & protune(an Accessport with a custom map made by a professional tuner) on my STi. As l said though, a turbo back can void the motor & transmission warranty depending on the dealer, so I'd really talk to the service manager at ur dealer before u get started.

Stock intercooler is fine for the stock turbo, there is no need to upgrade. Also installing an FMIC requires either cutting the bumper beam or using a JDM bumper beam, it also requires a short ram intake which will give u a wonky idle unless u have the car tuned for it, & there is no mod that will more quickly say '' l am modified'' to the dealer or the police. It is also pretty time consuming to install. It took me a few hours to get my APS FMIC on my STi, where as l can get the turbo back off in about an hour.

Anything you add to the engine or exhaust That is not approved by Subaru will void your warranty. The best thing to do is call Subaru head office they will tell you, and have then send it to you in writing. Do not ask the dealer, some of them just want to sell their aftermarket stuff

Check with manufacture, My freind had a 2004 wrx and he put on aftermarket exhaust and an shifter knob and when his trans. webt they would not honor the warraty because of that, so ask them first to be safe man.
