In the long run an extended warranty on anything is not worth it.

l got the 100k on my new Civic.and those are known for their reliability.

It did not cost all that much, and you never know what could happen.if something starts making noise, a pump goes out, a belt brakes, a transmission explodes.it will be worth it.

l bought a 7 year, 100,000 mile one for my Subaru Impreza in 1999 and never made a single claim against it.

Exentended warranties are good for the dealer, they make money on them. They are seldom worth it for consumers. New car warranties are good by themselves.

You probably wo not need an extended warranty. A Subaru is a great car.wish l still had mine!

Warranty is are insurance. So would you rather be insured or not?If you have a good amout of cash in the bank at all times then do not bother.

You need to read what the extended warranty covers before you sign up for one. Mine has bound me to have my car serviced where l bought it from. l am also bound to have it serviced every 6 months (my car was not new when l bought it but it had low kilometres).
In the event of a large claimon the warranty, your car may be in the workshop for an extended period of time. Just read all the fine print before you sign up for anything.

l mechanic for a living,,read over the warranty papers real good before u purchase any one of these,,make sure its going to cover the things you,ll need covered,,some of the extended warranty is do not cover what some people think they do,,then when their car breaks down,,they think its covered,,when its really not,,so read it real good,,id go for the 80k one at the least,,if u plan on keeping it ,but read it real good,,i do some repair work for some of the car lots around here that sell the extended warranty,s..and they do not always cover the things that need to be covered,,good luck l hope this help,s.

if you plan on keeping it for a long time then yes. l would not exactly call an impreza reliable, especially if its a wrx and you are gonna beat it up. if its manual make sure clutch is covered. l say go buy a vw instead.

It depends on the year of the car is it new or used? Subarus are very dependable, reliable ane well engineered. If it is used l might consider it depending on how the previous owner drove it. If it is new just keep the maintainence up and it will take of it is self.

l would not bother. both subaru is i've owned, as well as ones friends have owned, were very reliable when coupled with responsible ownership and maintenance.

l think it is a waste of money. stick with the factory warranty.

Being a Subaru mechanic, ive done lots of warranty work with the extended warranty. The best one is SAS (subaru added security)The dealer can self authorize repairs up to 500.00 l believe with out calling the warranty company.
