Yes, Subarus are know for their ''swapability with minor change you can put almost any engine into almost any subaru! The only difficult part is the wiring. Sport compact car did a swap and a write up, the used differnt models, but in general the procdure will be helpful to you. l put the link in the references.

As they suggest get a wiring diagram for both cars and take your time. It is a fun project that leaves you with a very fun car.
