l am looking at a 2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i for $18,000 new... is that a good deal and what can you tell me about the car?

Yes, it is a good car. Depending where you are at, and the options, thats a decent price. All wheel drive is the best thing about Subarus in my opinion. The biggest downside though, is the parts are very expensive, as with most imports. Other than that, they are a blast to drive, very reliable, and you can take them just about anywhere.

Absolutely! Trust me on this one. l know what l am talking about when it comes to cars & Subaru makes a powertrain system that is second to NONE. The driveline layout is 99.99% perfect. Low center of gravity. Excellent weight distribution. On top of which Subaru uses a Symetrical All Wheel Drive system that is once again ''second to none''. Not to mention that Subaru uses a 4 cylinder Boxer engine that is known to be very efficient & very die hard long lasting.

l do not own a subaru (yet). But in the future l want to famous WRX Imprezza! And of course the Subaru Legacy 4 door sedan. Both with AWD & both with Stick Shift!

Toyota might make so called ''reliable'' cars. BUT none r nearly as thoughfully as engineered as the Subarus. While Toyotas r bland & boring. Subarus r sporty & interesting.

Yes it is a good car & that is a good deal. The AWD system one of if not the best in the world. It has great handling, is reliable, dependable & the resale value on a well & properly maintained Subaru is high. The shift in the transmission is smooth & the 173 hp is great, it also has the torque to back up the horse power. The trim in the l is nice basically everything u need for options r standard. This car will not leave u stuck. Subaru is in my opinion the best engineered cars on the market now. That is why Toyota bought 10% of the company, they know a good thing. l have also a Subaru owner.

Imprezas are nice cars but l suggest putting down an extra 15K to buy an STi. It has a 2.5L Turbocharged 4 cylinder boxer motor with all wheel drive with lots of features like leather seats, ch changer, and STi stitching on the leather. Its an overall deal but if your price range is around the 18K then the 2.5 isnt that bad. If you are going to get the 2.5 l suggest getting the 2007 Special Edition Impreza 2.5i.

Well it depends what u want. If you want sporty and AWD, thats basically the only car. Family Sedan would be the legacy or the outback thats a real good deal BUY IT

Awsome car!! l would recommend going for one of the turbo charged models, either the WRX or the STi if you can stretch to it.

owned a 98 impreza 2.5 rs, loved it, got me through all kinds of snow, sleet, ice etc, not a lot of cargo space, but great handling, turning radius etc..had no major repairs with it(just the basic stuff) until at about 86,000, had to replace the radiator, clean the heads, water pump, but ended up keeping it for another 5000 miles and she ran as good as new..it was an excellent vehicle

DUDE, for that price Yes but you mine as get an ST l for about another 4g more.

l bought a Subaru Impreza in 1996 brand new and l am still driving it. It has over 150,000 miles on it and runs great. l have done the scheduled maintenance on it, but very few other problems. It has been very reliable. l would buy another Subaru.
