l lost my alarm clicker and the alarm is engaged on my 2002 Subaru WRX, how can l turn it off? l tried disengaging the battery but once l turn it on again it still goes off. Please help me.

Get inside your car, close the door and cycle the door locks. Also cycle the door lock with your primary key from the outside of the drivers door a couple times. One of these methods should shut it off... if it is a factory alarm that is.

l had the same problem when l bought my used Subaru. The solution for me was to lock and unlock the car from the driver door. but if that does not work for you l would try combinations of lock/unlock and the key in the ignition.

If you DO set off the alarm by opening the door with the key rather than with the remote, put the key in the ignition and turn the key off and on 3 times (not all the way on to start the car, but to the stop right before that.) That will stop the horn from blaring.
