hey guys. l have a 1998 subaru outback and l am replacing the radiator hoses and the thermostat. Just wondering if anybody knows how to actually replace the thermostat and how tight l should tighten the clamps to the hoses.. thanks

The thermostat housing is located on the bottom of the water pump. Remove the two retaining bolts, remove the thermostat housing to expose the thermostat.
Hose clamps tightened until firmly snug, but not too much in order to avoid cutting into the hose.
