Hi . l live in Oregon. l have a subaru that l drive a little hard and guess what l blew the motor. l wonder how that happend. lol What would be a good place to take it?
Will they put a rebuild in it?(hope not)
How much would the labor cost?
Anything else would be great. Thank you
2002
bought it used
l know there are subaru delears by where l live but it would be cheaper to have it done somewhere else. l know it is blown.l had it checked by a mechanic in the family. were all know a lot about cars :)
Does any one know where there is a good place to take it in oregon (portland, clackamas anywhere around that) thank you for ing
WRX RIDER. Whatyear is your wrx? l love to hear about peoples cars. zoom zoom
thebax2006--- The wrx is overall better then the evo. Subaru is better. thats why all of the perfesional drive subaru. plus my car can go fast. the evo does have more horse power but that is not everything. l LOVE THIS CAR l WILL NOT GET RID OF IT.

What year model? Rebuild is as good as new if is done right. Even a new motor can be jacked up. Get a better diagnostic, maybe is not blown like u say & work from there.

If is under warranty be careful on what u say. If they can prove that was neglected / abused / misused on ur part, is ur lost.

Now the fun part..

How much the car is worth?
How much the car is worth to you?
How much will cost to repair?
How much will be to get a new one or a trade in?

Go with the more cost effective solution or if u like the car so much, might worth a lot for u to fix.

Take it to your local mechanic and have them put a new motor in it, it will run you about $3000. parts and labor.

Go here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/. You will need to create a username and what not. Then click on the North West Impreza club forum and ask your qeustion. Since these people live in your region they would be able to answer your qeustion and possibly refer you to someone they use. It is alot of good information on this site so go check it out.

To the nearest Mitsubishi dealer to trade for an EVO! At least they feel like a car not a farm tractor.

You're on the west coast. Just get a JDM EJ20 turbo out of any subaru made in japan & swap ur intake manifold onto it. The manifold has all the sensors & wiring on it. It will be much cheaper than finding a us wrx motor locally. Plan on 2-3 grand with labor otherwise.
