coolantlose and overheating

the motor is not known to have factory problems,any other mods 2 the engine?

What year? The previous generation 2.5L engine is known to have weak head gaskets, l think they fixed the problem in 2003, or 2004.

Check for oil on your plug wires and plugs, that is a dead giveaway for a blown head gasket. Either way take it to someone to have it looked at. A fair price for head gasket replacment (along with timing belt and water pump seals) is about $1100.

u may have a blown head gasket. if u know anything about cars u can do it yourself & save a lot of money. those engines r really easy to work on if u know what ur doing.

if u smell antifreeze in the exhaust, its a head gasket.

however, it also just might be an air pocket in the coolant lines. there is an air bleed on the radiator, turn it several times until nothing but coolant flows from it.
if that doesnt solve the problem, then go with the head gasket.
