You can not compare the two. SRT Neon is almost (+/-) $10000 cheaper than the Impreza STI. If u have an unlimited budget, go for the $35000 ST l becuase l think u will enjoy its rally carlike handling, & it is fast as hell with 300hp. It also has a trick AWD, boatload of safety features, it can whoop even the 45-50K Benzes (not the AMG is or M is but the normal ones.) If u do not want to break the bank, go for the SRT because it is still pretty fast, but it is got a cheap build quality (it is a Dodge :).

the subaru Sti because l believe it has All Wheeh Drive

oh the sti for sure. a stronger engine although its more like 270 hp rather than the rated 300. an then its got awd an that just seals the envelope. thats not to say a srt cant be souped up to beat it. even with mopar stuff alone(stage 3 turbo) the srt can outdo the subie

Show an Sti a corner and it'd eat the Neon alive. Straight line a tuned Neon may do the trick, but tuning an STi is a lot more worthwhile. There is an 800bhp STi in Iceland..not sure if the neon could ever match that.

Even at the higher price get the Subaru because of resale value. The Neon drops like a rock (unfairly so) becuase the domestics discount them and flood the market with crap. The WRX is always going to be in demand, so you can run the heck out of it (but maintain it well) for 6-7 years and still get a strong price for it.

Plus the AWD is just a great safety and performance factor.

Equipped with a brutally powerful 300 hp boxer turbo four and AWD, the Subaru STi will lay the smack down on the FWD Neon SRT-4, hands down. Enough said.

ST l for sure, all wheel drive, turbo, cant go wrong

srt neon is a little over 200 horsepower the sti is alooot more l know the sti is 300 horses splus all wheel drive and alot better suspension, not to mention dodge makes some of the shittiest transmitions the auto world has ever seen

Neon is a girl car, no matter what engine it has. ST l is a whole other level!

defiantly the STI, l have one myself and smoke SRT is all day, it is better in the snow, and fun to take off road

l dont really care they are the same here isit l would say buy/get the STI

the STI'z are much more better, and every knowz wot a 'subaru' is, aswell as the fact that it has japanese reliability, whereas the neon is just too bulky and well cornering...huh...i dont rekon u will get far on the nurburgring or any race circuits..but think about it.every 1 who thinks they r race drivers or them rally drivers knwz wot an ST l is...so the impreza is a much better choice..

stock for stock definetly an ST l because of the AWD system and overall power of the car- that car is awesome, as for the SRT-4 ..judge for yourself what can be done to the car..
